I agree with most of the opinions about the ITF versions of "Welcome to the Machine" and "WYWH", specially the last one. Roger's voice wasn't made to sing this song.

I think the "WYWH" version on ITF is ok, not as good as the original and the Post-Waters Floyd version, but it's definitively better than some of the live versions from the 70's. I think you should bash the ITF version of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" instead. Some parts of it are really awful.

Nah, it's pretty good... especially Snowy White, he was made to play that song.

Re: "Money" by the post-Waters Floyd...

Snowy White's playing is good, but his sound is not perfect, Jon Carin is great on lap steel, but Doyle Bramhall III is horrible. That's a shame because his playing on some of the other songs on ITF is brilliant. And "Shine On..." isn't "Shine On..." without a saxophone. (I've never heard the version with saxophone from 2002).

I'm not all that keen on the soprano sax in "Set the Controls", I can do without it in "Shine On," but they couldn't have just kept him off the stage altogether because "Money" sounds "fucking awful" without tenor sax (according to Roger).

I think the soprano sax in "Set the Controls" is great. I also think a tenor saxophone on "Pigs (three different ones" would`ve been exciting.

Re: "Money" by the post-Waters Floyd...

I personally don't mind the woo-woo chick singers on Money. But after listening to the the Delicate Sounds of Thunder, and Pulse live versions. I always have to quickly listen to the original Dark Side of the Moon studio version.

Because, it just rocks more.

I've always thought that the 'woo-woo' stuff screws up the whole song.

Re: "Money" by the post-Waters Floyd...

Crikey, Roger's excised Andy FW's solo from his performances of the song! On a more exciting note, Ian Ritchie does a better job than Norbert did on sax... and bass, apparently!

Funny they didn't play anything from Radio K.A.O.S. while Ritchie is in the band. I know Ritchie is a good keyboard player, but he doesn't seem to be the best bass player in the world. He only hit the same note a couple of times during Another Brick In The Wall.

That's exactly my opinion of the live version done by the post-Waters lineup. Imo the woo-woo's are way to overblown.
