It is so true. I mean, TFC is at times almost chilling if you can really tap into Roger's feelings behind his beautiful words and melody. Haunting, chilling, emotional, brilliant... All words I would use to describe this album.

Re: Where would you put the songs from The Final Cut into The Wall?

Getting back to the original topic, I always felt that the first part of Final Cut (up to and including Gunners Dream) sounded very much like The Wall and the rest of the CD seemed more like a Water solo project. Possible past, One of the Few, Heros Return and Gunners Dream could all fit in near the begiinning of the wall since they refer to the same theme. The second half of the Final Cut would have to be at the end of the Wall I suppose but it doesn't really 'fit' for me.

Re: Where would you put the songs from The Final Cut into The Wall?

Waters said that the teacher in The Wall is the teacher from One of The Few/The Hero's Return. The teacher was a bitter guy because of his experiences in the war. It's almost like the back story about the teacher.
"What do you do to make ends meet? (whispered)teach, teach,"
"Trying to clout these little ingrates into shape"
to his fat and psychopathic wife: "are you fast a sleep? good. 'cos that's the only time I can really speak to you."
So, there's some connections there between the albums' story line. but only in that bit I think.

I'm impressed that Roger got 3 albums out of the same well. The Wall, The Final Cut and The Pros and Cons... all share musical themes.
