It's Daves second solo album. Done right after the big break-up with Rog.
Many don't like it, but IMO it's the better of the two; Dave gathered some top-notch musicians together to cut it.
I especially like the track "Murder".

Stratman is right, Murder is probably one of Dave's finest efforts, with or without the rest of the boys.. The album is worth it for that track alone, but the rest of the album is very good. It's one of my faves.

I think it's weak. Murder is good but the rest of the album is boring and quite far from Floyd style. I prefer Dave's first effort.

I love it. Murder, Out Of The Blue, Cruise, Let's Get Metaphyscal & Near The End are all great songs IMO.

You know what... its so damn hard to find anybody's solo albums... except for Roger's... And even that is just because he toured in India. I just loved all Roger's solo albums... but i've never heard a song from Dave's, Nick's or Wright's solo albums... Damn this.

Well... there's one more thing... everyone says that Roger's album 'Amused to Death' didn't do as as good as expected... well i wonder why it didn't???? I loved the album... absolutely superb lyrics... great music... the last two songs can get me to tears anytime...

Yeah... I know downloading is an option... but again... doesn't really feel right... mainly because of my respect towards the band, wanting to have an original album...

and...

and...

and...

The damn dial up connection at home... which ofcourse can't give me downloading speed of more than 3kbps.

And through experience of listening to Pink Floyd... I cannot listen to their songs singularly... I have to listen to them album wise... if u know what i mean... I just get addicted man... can't stop... so If i download one song of David Gilmour's... Its not gonna be healthy for me... ... especially after listening to all their albums a million times and wanting something new from them...

Gosh... Im desperate for music atleast close to Pink Floyd... as a band I mean. SO what do I expect from solo albums and how close are they to what Pink Floyd (As a band) were?

Well.... IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE???? with original music... getting on par, or atleast close to the music Pink Floyd gave to the world?

High Hopes eh?

BTW, I think 'Near the End' and 'Out of the Blue' are really great songs.

Red face

Well... amazon.com still thinks that India is too far off a place for an item to be shipped...

So there goes my option... oops... out of the window... Damn.

I have to remark that I have *only* original albums of Pink Floyd - bootlegs apart obviously - though I think that since you cannot buy them at least you can listen to the music until you find an original copy. That's my whole point. Plus, I've downloaded lots of stuff in the days of my old dial up connection, just be patient. Cheers.
