ABITW remix/medley

Okay, the other day I got REALLY bored, and decided to do some audio mixing. Here's the product of the whole boredom thing. I made a sorta medley of ABITW part 1, 2 and 3... with a few other random things thrown in.

As I wanted other peoples' opinions on how wonderful a job I did **smug** I figured maybe someone on this message board might actually enjoy it.

it's 8 MB, so those on dialup, have fun!!

Don't know weather it's legal or not but it's certainly good. I awalys wondered what a proper medlly of these three would sound like, just playing one after another is horibly chopy.

I dunno if it's legal or not either... I figured as long as I'm not planning on selling it or making any form of profit, or trying to pass it off as something official, then it's fine by me. =O)

That, and I've been making (for MYSELF) weird medley-esque... basically, SHORT versions of each album, so I can show people who refuse to sit and listen for an hour+ just what each album BASICALLY (in a nutshell) sounds like.... also, probably not legal, but those I'm not putting online, so I don't care.

That, and it's good practice at mixing audio, eh?

I thought it was wonderfully done!

I'd thought about doing this myself but never got round to it, probably wouldn't have been as professional as that anyway!!

Yeah, if I was able to make it smaller and still have it sound decent, that would be nice. But alas... I can honestly say that I do NOT miss modems a bit.

Someone said they wanted any others I do? For the moment, the only other one I have is MLOR compacted into a 17 and a half minute medley.... that was my test subject for my "albums in a nutshell" project. There's about 2 spots where I couldn't get the mixing as proper as I WANTED.... but if anyone wants to hear THAT one, lemme know.

Always happy to share with other Floyd fans. (not TOO many real fans where I live... lots of stoners who only know the Dark Side of Oz thing.... that's about it.)

Maybe one of these days, I'll work on my "Albums in five minutes" some more and get them done.

And maybe one of these days I'm going to get round to finishing off writing the parodies I said I would (see the thread about Roger's dad in the Roger Waters section).

The parodies are in my head ...

(If you had one of those old mixing machines where you had to splice the tape with scissors you could conceivably say that one of these days you're going to cut it into little pieces ...)

I'll get me coat.
