Remastering...

This thread is about what songs you would like to see remastered and how?

It needn't have to be Pink Ployd only... 'Any song you like'

I'll start...

I'd like to see Pigs (Three Different Ones) with more prominance to Roger's Bass work... The bass in this song really gets my head banging... I'd want to hear it louder.

Cheers.

Actually the bass work on Pigs (Three Different Ones) is done by BDG. Not sure though, but it has been speculated for some time.

When the bass-playing became to tricky, Dave took Rogers place.
I've heard. The fretless bass-solo on Hey You is also by BDG.

I've headbanged in front of the wall after seeing The Head. I couldn't believe I was really watching it. It wasn't even funny.

On topic:

I'd like to hear remastered the last good Santana albums that have not been remastered yet - Borboletta (1974), Amigos (1976), Festival (1976), CS: Onenness (1978), CS: The Swing Of Delight (1980), CS and Buddy Miles Live (1972), CS and Alice Coltrane: Illuminations (1974).

The other good Santana albums: (Santana (1969), Abraxas (1970), III (1971), Caravanserai (1972), CS and John McLaughlin: Love Devotion And Surrender (1973), Welcome (1973), Lotus (1975) and Moonflower (1977) are now available remastered and with bonus tracks - definitely superior to other CD releases which tend to have awfully unclear sound. (this is why I originally bought most of the aforementioned albums on vinyls).

Advyth... if you look at videos of the Animals tour, Roger is playing the choppy rhythm guitar during P(3DO) while Snowy plays bass and Dave plays lead.

A lot of the Pink Floyd canon would sound great on hybrid 5.1 SACD like the 30th anniversary DSOTM disc... Animals, WYWH, Meddle.

But then again, some of the later albums like The Wall, The Final Cut, and the post-Roger material would probably be better suited to DVD-A, which has more space on the disc for extras and a less analogue-y sound.
