hello from new member kirk/zenpool

this is a great looking site!
i'll be hanging at the jam room most of the time,
more info's posted to the equipment thread.

i'm not here to throw spam at you,
it's just hard to say anything about myself
w/o mentioning music (i'm a full-time producer).

floyd's right up there on my short list of favs,
along w/ yes (yesfan member), gabriel genesis,
king crimson, jethro tull.....

'just wanted to say "hull-o floydians!"

eddy, aneurysm- thanks!

hey aneurysm- i'm originally from connersville!
i lived in zionsville before moving to seattle
(gig harbor).
the wife was kittle's in castleton's top person,
a firm hired her, moved us here.

if i remember, brownsburg is hendricks county,
to the west of indy a few miles?

did you see floyd at the hoosier dome
on the division bell tour?

Connersville Indiana? Cool, where is that? I've never been there. At least not to my knowledge.

east on 70, about 60 miles from indy,
just before the centerville/richmond exit.

on I-44, it's just after rushville.
it's pretty much a little dying industrial s**thole,
but hey, it's home. i think the main industry
now is nursing homes.

oh, and "kirk" is short for my last name "kirkendall".

Yeah, I'd rather live in a dying industrial shithole than cornfield hell. Here, either you have the prejudice rednecks or the way too nice, way too rich, secretely prejudice, after school special, minivan, soccer moms. I need to move.

thanks bluesman. do you play?

zenpool's guitarist steve hall from newcastle-
upon-tyne england (we're a "v-collab" project)
played in a blues band managed by former
bassist for "the animals" chas (jimi hendrix) chandler,
opened for ray charles, buddy guy.

he's opening several euro dates (w/ his female-fronted
band "the questionnaires") for 70's dutch prog band "focus".
(remember "hocus pocus"?)

a- o.k., it's coming back now. you guys have the airport
in your back yard, out there where they tried to do
that garfield-based amusement park.

i moved right after that tornado ripped through 4-5 years ago
(really miss those).

you should have a look a zionsville. it's a bit spendy,
but much hipper.
i haven't seen a thunderstorm in 4 years
(for everyone else, they REALLY have thunderstorms,
window rattlers), it usually doesn't go above 85 degrees,
under 40. no one has air conditioners.

i hate to do this to you, but if you have a sec,
punch "gig harbor wa." into a google.

The major Indianapolis Airport is a good 20 min drive from me, I know a Garfield Park, it's on the South Side.

I've never been to Zionsville, but I've been to Broadripple a few time, which fits that description.(they also have the greatest music store ive seen).

I put Gig harbor wa, into google and it came up with some maps and whatnot, is that where you live now?

broadripple's a little hipper still, but to the point you have to
chain down the weber haha. love that broadripple brewpub.
not garfield park, jim davis's garfield the cat.
they attempted to put a king's island size amusement park out there, the locals stopped it.

usually a picture comes up...
i think i have a couple.

..that's mt.ranier looming, actually over 60 miles away.
