Mythology

This is going to seem like a really silly and broad topic but I love my mythology. Whether it be Aztec, Egyptian, Chinese or Greek it fascinates me.

So I was just wondering who else shares my passion. What they're favourite myths are and if you know any good sites regarding any aspect of this broad topic

cheers

i like the Dionysos myths and such...
(From Greek Mythology)
A friend and I use to talk about throwing a Dionysos Festival every time we get drunk on red wine and listen to the Doors.

I'm quite a fan of Norse mythology myself. A very interesting mythology it is. I'm also rather well versed in Celtic mythology.

I like the Norse/Celtic mythology due to my Scottish background, but also because they seem to have the most gods/dieties, i like choice

I don't know much about Norse/Celtic.. although it would be nice..

I used to know EVERYTHING about Egyptian mythology.. But I'm fair into Greek at the mo.. I just love the gods.. and how everything is so tightly connected.. I loved how they had a reason for everything

cheers

Those having to do with the arts and the muses are some of my faves as is the whole story surrounding Dionysus.

Greek mythology is also great because even though it's mythological, it ties in with history so well.

The Kabbalistic mythology is great, too. (Apologies if calling it mythology offends anyone.) The way it takes basical Biblical ideas and makes beautiful stories is amazing.

Malk, you should so have that festival. My friends and I want to do the same sort of thing. I suppose it came from a Doors overdose, lol. Oddly, I do some of my best work while lisening to the Doors. Dancing with Dionysus I called it. Sigh.

Actually I was just about to make the point of Greek mythology tying in with history.. Say, people like Agamemnon and Nestor are representations of Ananke who is the abstraction of necessity..

cheers
