Interesting forum,
have been reading through for a couple of hours now and have seen plenty of threads about DSOTM on sacd/dts,am I the only person that not only has this but also Animals and WYWH which also play in 5.1 dts,
yes you did read that correct,a friend gave me these yesterday on cdr and they are definately 5.1 and sound bloomin great, not sure if they are actually sacd but dts,yes
Has anybody else even heard of these other two albums being in 5.1 dts?

Yes, there are a few RoIO (Records of Illegitimate Origin, a.k.a. "b**tlegs"), including WYWH, Animals and DSOTM that were remixed from the original vinyl quad mixes into DTS CD-Rs. Their quality is excellent, IMHO, and if you have the opportunity to get them, do so.

If you find ones that aren't Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here or Atom Heart Mother, they're fakes. Bad fakes. Really, really bad fakes.

Re: sacd/dts

There's a quad mix of Animals? I have Atom Heart Mother and WYWH on DTS, and I must say that the only way to listen to Wish you were here is on the DTS disc. You don't know what you're missing if you don't! I can't tell much difference in the AHM one. Can anyone else tell a difference? Also, if anyone can maybe supply me with the DSOTM one through a trade of something, don't be afraid to ask.

Exclamation Re: sacd/dts

Hey Everyone!

This is my first post... If you know how to get a real copy of these dts cds, please share the wealth. Also, there's someone selling on ebay the DTS versions of about five or six albums. I read that a lot are fake etc. If anyone knows this seller or wants to check out his auctions let me know what you think! I'm not really up on this stuff and could use a hand, but I do know that if these DTS cd's are legit then I want them bad? Thanks for any advice or info. Bret
P.S. Let me know what my audio needs and set up would have to be to hear the DTS Cd's the proper way. Thanks again.

Re: sacd/dts

Don't pay for them!!! Christ. Why do that when you can download them for free from lossless p2p hubs?

Re: sacd/dts

Guthrie is definitely up for remixing the rest of the back catalogue. It's just a question of the band and the record labels coming to an agreement of how and when it should happen.
