3fates, it's good to have you on board. Might I just add that you are quite the most rabid David ("Not 'Dave', please") Gilmour fan that we've possibly had the pleasure of entertaining on this site. Well done!

Thanks for the Welcome guys.. As far as hanging out with Dave... well the 70s was a really fun time to be in NYC.. and I had friends who worked for Britainnia Row, and I knew Robbie Williams, Seth Goldman and Little Mick pretty well..I even knew a few of the roadies who went to jail on the drug smuggling charges... and one of my closest friends was on the sound crew.. .so I hung out with them in NYC.. and I even traveled with them a little later on the Animals tour. I got friendly with David on the Animals tour... I'm probably the only one who's 2-year old son saw all the Wall shows in the NYC area... and David's solo tour when he was 6.. and TDB tour in 94 when he was 16. And now at 26, he can't stand PF... where did I go wrong??

Ya try to raise them right. do your best.. but sometimes things just go horribly wrong... Sounds like you need to call Dr. Phil. Very nice getting an insiders look.. I'm horribly jealous.. the only band of note I ever got "inside" was......Styx... oh well..

I used to be Rabid. Then I got Paranoid. Now I just dig the mars volta. But yeah, 3fates knows a lot about David, and that's quite great. He's one of the few members who doesn't worry about making some kind of dumbass mark on the site, and just sticks to the issues!!!!! I'm sure you'd be a great presidient!

On the David Gilmour Live DVD he looks old, but his voice is still amazing, I wish he would go on a solo tour, that Gilmour DVD is great

Actually, Dave just lost a lot of weight, my friends saw him in London a few months ago and mentioned that he is a lot thinner. The photos they posted prove it too. It does appear that Dave was the good looking member of the band-of course I am a guy so it is hard for me to rate other men. Maybe the better looking you are in your youth, the worse you age?
