No it's not. He says that in In "The Flesh?", but were talking about "In The Flesh".

You're talking about part one, this topic is about part 2. Get it?

That was the voice he was talking about. The one right before In The Flesh kicks in -- as heavy as ever. I always thought he was saying something about maggots, who knows what the hell it is.

Roger shouts that phrase before Waiting For The Worms -- then he is talking on the megaphone. And the sounds before In The Flesh? seem to be some kind of music (possibly from Outside The Wall) -- but for a very short time, then the song hits.

The Wall -- probably the best Floyd album to utuilize sound effects thorughout both disks. The bombs & planes, the baby crying, the various television sounds, the schoolmaster yelling, and of course the wall crashing down.

Damnit! Of course it's at the beginning of Waiting for the Worms"! What the hell was I thinking?

After listening to the Wall studio again, I must say, that it is indeed Outside The Wall playing at the very beginning of the album.

Also, Roger says "...we came in?" at the very very beginning of disc 1 and "Isn't this where..." at the very very end of disc 2.

Really?? I've never heard that before. It's time to have another listen -- this time with headphones.

Re: The voice before In The Flesh Pt II starts

I've still never heard the voice at the end of The Wall:

I've started listening to albums on my IPod, and Outside The Wall fades into 'The Post War Dream' before I can do anything about it. I never paid that much attention to disc 2 anyway.

Ah, I've got it now. I used to just think that it was some random mumbling, turns out there was some kind of message there. Amazing!

Crossfading, is that where part of the song is cut off to make for time, or to just get to another album?? I dunno, but the album & song fades should be left to the Floyd crew.
