she was at the root of the androgyneous girls...like annie lenox and shirley mansion(now not before). she inspired everybody
and she has lots of sex appeal...

you guys should give her music a chance. she influenced u2, the cure, hole, garbage, everybody knows her

That's a subjective thing, but a woman who dresses like a man and tries to look like Keith Richards doesn't do much for most guys, I'd wager.

No one would argue her influence and contributions to punk
rock. But she is not my cup of tea.

that's quite naive to believe. everybody nowadays are aware of the looks. why do you think Brittney is so successeful? i bet it's not because of her 'awsome' voice.

I´ve got two patti smith albums... "Horses" and "Easter", i like Horses. specially the opening track, Gloria, which is a cover song if i´m not mistaking...
God, this Mac thingie has a keyboard which kills me!
I haven´t really listened that much to Easter yet, but i know there is a rather cathcy tune there!
