| Yeah, I've listened to the Verve a lot and they're quite good alright. I haven't heard any of Ashcroft's solo albums fully but I've heard the odd song, pretty impressive too. Somebody said that it's really good stuff. Even after some people didn't think he'd be as good solo...he was/is...apparently anyway. |

| Re: The Verve Just to revive a dead thread... how about Ahscroft's performance at Live 8? Took me by surprise. Anyhow, I haven't been able to find any Ashcroft solo work, but I did pick up their first album, A Storm in Heaven. I like it, but it's not a 5 star album... not even a 4 star... more like a 3.5. The music is good, but it's production makes some of the lyrics unintelligible. The album has 3-4 memorable songs though, out of 11... so consider picking it up |
