10 (or less) Favourite Music Videos

I was talking to myself about this last night.

And I have managed to think of a list of ten (in no particular order).

I'm curious as to what other people dig in a music video. I haven't liked many over the years.

1. The White Stripes' Lego video... Legos are cool, man.

2. The new one from the Steriophonics...The song isn't that awesome, but they animate stuff with yarn. It's like rock 'n roll and arts 'n crafts had a love child.

3. Modest Mouse- Float On

4. Radiohead- There There

5. Radiohead- No Surprises

6. Radiohead- Karma Police

7. A-Ha- Take On Me

8. The Chemical Brothers and The Flaming Lips- The Golden Path

9. Men Without Hats- The Safety Dance

And finally...
10. Billy Joel- We Didn't Start the Fire...the first video I can clearly remember watching on MTV. Y'know, back when they still showed music videos.

I don't watch many music videos, because I don't have cable. But my favorites that I've seen are (in no particular order), Metallica - I Disappear, Every Radiohead Video, Every Greenday Video, Every Foo Fighters video, Franz Ferdinand - Take me Out, The Strokes - Reptilia, Velvet Revolver - slither (not that great of a video, but the song is awesome), Muse - (I Forgot the name of the song damnit), The Offspring - The Kids Aren't Alright

I really like the video for Take Me Out.

The one for Rooney's I'm Shakin' is pretty cool, too.

I have not watched music videos in years. I don't have cable and if I did I probably still wouldn't waste my time on music videos (I'd be watching the weather channel of course). Some memorable ones from days gone by that stand out in my memory are..

Duran Duran; Hungry like the Wolf
David Bowie; Little China Girl
Soundgarden; Black Hole Sun
Soundgarden; Spoonman
Metallica; Enter Sandman
Pink Floyd; Learning to Fly
The Rolling Stones; Start Me Up

The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Coldplay - Trouble
Tool - Schism (I believe that's the one I'm thinking of)
Nirvana - In Bloom (there are three different ones; I love the one that makes fun of Ed Sullivan)
Marilyn Manson - Fight Song (only like some of his music, and don't like this one, but the video is great)

I've only seen a few videos in the last 10 years or so but I used to watch alot of the videos in the 80's and early 90's....I quit watching MTV around the time the 1st season of the Real World came out whenever that was...If the list is by video only and has nothing to do with how good the song acutally is then here goes my video list:

10) Queen - Innuendo
9) Enigma - Return to Innocence
8) Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun
7) John Fogerty - Centerfield
6) Tom Petty - Don't Come Around Here No More
5) Faith No More - A Small Victory
4) Pink Floyd - High Hopes
3) Peter Gabriel - Digging in the Dirt
2) Van Halen - Hot for Teacher
1) Pearl Jam - Do The Evolution
