Angry worst floyd song

ok, i've gotta ask (yeah yeah i'm sure it's been covered before, but what the heck). what, in your opinion, is the worst song in the history of floyd? for me, it has to be "don't leave me now" off the wall. ugh. just typing those words makes me queasy....

I actually regard 'Don't leave me now' as a difinitive high point on the album, being that it actually manages to capture a particular emotive note, rather than just going for bombast and hoping that some of it connects.

My worst song?

That's a ****ing hard one, actually

At the risk of being lambasted from all sides, I have to say the the worst efforts of Pink Floyd would be anything Pre-Gilmour..

I doubt many really care about this song anyway (fine if you do....) but Quicksilver from More is rather boring. Yes, it's experimental and interesting the first time, but it's very forgettable to me.

I agree too...

I would have to say the post-Waters stuff was certainly different to most of what had come before and some of it is a little, well, "of the moment" (is there a more 80's sounding song than 'Yet Another Movie'?)

To choose ONE track that stands out as being worse than the others is difficult but I tend to ignore nonsense such as Seamus and Alan's Psycadelic Breakfast when listening to the relevant album. Also, Chapter 24 annoys me for no specific reason - possibly the lyrics.

Dogs of War is pretty awful too but to be fair Gilmour was finding his feet on his first 'in-charge' album and I always see Waters as the better songwriter.

And just to add to the 'Don't Leave Me Now' thing, I think it's one of the best songs on the album too, along with The Thin Ice and Nobody Home.

Maybe we should nominate our worst song from each album. That would be more difficult because we'd all get stuck in the "How is there a bad song on DSOTM?" argument!

I dont really think the post waters stuff is much/any different to that of the previous pink floyd music, aside from the 80s production of aMLoR. I could picture something like the division bell coming straight after wish you were here or atom heart mother or meddle.

I think that because Waters went and took control before the post waters stuff was released, it made the post waters stuff sound un-pink floyd to some people, because of the sudden change. Where as if it was released in the early 70s i think (at least the division bell) would be considered pink floyd sounding to everyone.

The worst pf song I know is "dogs of war"

I think you either love The Wall or you hate it.

I love it and can't listen to it without starting at the start and finishing at the, err, end. You know. Instead of skipping to your favourite song only.

I like "The Dogs of War"... Some songs for AMLoR are not that great, but some are. The worst floyd song? Uh...
Free Four?

Probably something from AMLOR. It's a pretty horrible album.
