"Silence in the studio!" is all that song needs. It's probably my favorite Floyd song really.

The music already says a lot, it doesn't need words to obscure the magic going on. Quite an amazing feat by such a band, with little actual musical training to begin with.

in my humble opinion, i think that part of the greatness of atom heart mother was its epic use of music to convey an almost uncomprehendible meaning. i really think that everything that should have been heard in htat song was, and the addition of lyrics would have totally ruined teh entire song. with out lyrics, each person who hears it is able to come up with their own interpratation of it, of what it mean, of what it says, so really, its just perfect the way it is, and stands as one of my favorite songs.

Rather odd that the band could've done something so.....progressive as AHM, and then just two years later did Echoes. Not that Echoes isn't good or anything, but it's basically a 20-minute space rock jam.

AHM would have been best if never performed at all.

Since this is a binary question, aren't 'maybe' and 'can't decide' virtually the same thing?

AHM is great without lyrics. Aren't there already enough songs out there with lyrics already I enjoy just kicking back for 23 minutes and hearing Pink Floyd express themselves.

When the fat old sun...

Yeah...AHM is just awesome, one of those rarities (no lyrics...yet it's so captivating and intriguing). I think it's just a terrific song off of a terrific album, so in conclusion: Aboslutely NOT!
