Re: How do you listen to Pink Floyd?

I normally listen to the Floyd while I'm working with the computer or surfing through the internet but I enjoy the experience more while I'm driving. I live in Spain and as you drive through the highways there are some really beautiful landscapes. I like listening to the Floyd as the evening approaches and the sun sets, while I'm driving along the coast (Roger Waters' "Sunset Strip" is really cool in this scenery) or as I'm approaching a row of mountains. I really enjoy the experience when I drive alone, so I only concentrate on the music, and also when I drive long distances so I can listen to whole albums!!

I like listening to the Floyd as well on my discman (or mp3) while I'm going for a long walk in a mountain but, unfortunately, I'm totally deaf from one ear so I cannot enjoy the stereo experience in its full splendour.

Hmm...

I heard the best way to listen to Pink Floyd is with headphones, forget why.

I normally listen while on the computer (I have iTunes (like iPod) in the background of my computer right now. I'm listenin' to Livin' On My Own, by Freddie Mercury (Queen)).

Listen occasionally in my room alone, but never for 'meditation'. Never thought about that

Sounds like myself.

"Sunset Strip" is a very underrated track. Whenever I listen to RK I make it a point to repeat that one.

The promo edit, without that stupid "monkey and my dog" tirade, is superior

Indeed. I think it's underrated because it doesn't sound Floydian at all but, if you forget about this, the song is great. I have always wanted to make a live cover of it but then you need the girls, the keyboards, the sax... But playing it live must be surely a lot of fun.
