PF fan diversity & The Wall

Hi... I have a few African-American friends of mine who I've gotten into Floyd (one of whom absolutely loves David Gilmour). I was wondering if it'd be a good idea or not to start them off on The Wall, considering the whole In the Flesh lyrics and such?

The answer is yes if:

1- They do have a brain
2- Their brains are working
3- Their brains can also understand satire and fiction

The lyrics are there to show that Pink was undergoing a transformation from innocent rocker, to psychopathic loony. They're just there.

/I/ know that, just like should I go "yah, make sure you don't take any of this too seriously" or just let it speak for itself?

Why would you want them to listen to The Wall? Do you not like them, or something?

It's only one line and taken in context of the whole album shudn't really cause any offense.

Considering my own origins, I would advise against suggesting ANY Pink Floyd to anyone who seriously considers themselves African-Americans. That is, unless they are originally from Africa and have been naturalised American.
