Dude, so much stuff out there on Gilmour's setup and settings.

Take a look around.

Re: Floyd Guitar Effects?????

*shudder*

Digital effects... Cheap, but not as 'ballsy' as analogue pedals.

Thats according to Dave Gilmour anyway, I must asay I agree with him, I had a Zoom707, it was a piece of crap compared to my new effects setup.

Your effects -

For Shine On you'll need just a clean signal with a fair bit of compression. Dave is one of the few artists who uses compression as an effect, not as a sustainer. An MXR DynaComp is the exact pedal Dave used for the intro and Solo's of SOYCD.

For the time solo, you will need compression, fuzz (Dave used a Big Muff), and a touch of drive. (Dave used a BK Butler Tube Driver) Also a touch of delay

For the money solo there is two types of effects setups you will need, one for the 'wet' solo and one for the 'dry' solo. For the 'wet' solo you'll need Fuzz, and drive, and when the solo turns dry you just turn off the drive, making the sound less 'fat' and 'wet'. If you understand. TOuch of delay.

Hey you, is just clean with a bit of delay i thought?

For ABITW, he has some phat delay, apart from that its clean, and just a palm muted note. But, instead of playing the A string at the 5th fret, play the D string by itself. That might give you a bit more sustain/volume.

What guitar are you running?

Cheers,
Adrian

Re: Floyd Guitar Effects?????

I agree. I have an Electro-Harmonix phaser I use when I play "Breathe". It sounds so good. And I know he uses a delay on Time, but I don't know the settings or anything.

Re: Floyd Guitar Effects?????

Its anywhere between 345 and 390ms delay.

For the Wall he increased his general delay time to around 410-430ms.
