The final cut title number

Almost everyone is always saying how they not think The final cut is a great album. I think the final cut is a great album, one of their best probably. But what do you think of the title song? I think this is one of their best songs, great lyrics great solo etc. What do you think of this song?

It's definatly not one of their best but it's not one of their worst

I'd love to know more about the final cut, especially seeing as though I just ordered the thing.

I made a topic about it, but it got closed because "there's already a topic about the final cut" which was about the final cut cover or lyrics or something mundane.

The song "The Final Cut" in my opinion is one of the most heartfelt songs ever written by Roger Waters. (even more-so than "If") and he sings it just right to usually make me teary-eyed.

And the ALBUM is GREAT, but I still look at it as a Waters album, with Gilmour and Wright simply playing on it. (and Gilmour singing on one song)

The song itself is very good, really outstanding in the (poor) context of the album. It's a bit of a rehash of Comfortably Numb, though.

first, hi new here, but i must make some waves and jump to the defense of my favourite album, the final cut. tfc is politicaly involved, emotionaly charged and beutifuly narrated. i can think of few greater works in the history of rock and roll

It is, you can say you don't like the album but you have to admit it's a masterpiece. You don't think it's a masterpiece? Then please explain why.

I feel it is a brilliant work of art... and Roger tried to do it again with Amused to Death, and didnt quite get as close.

Hey I was just wondering in The Flecther Memorial Home near the end he sings, "are you having a nice time?" and then someone yells something. What do they say? Thanks.
