And hearty good welcome to a fellow 41-er - too few of us here abouts. Okay, mine won't be for a couple weeks yet, but it's the best part of 41 years gone but never wasted. ![]()

16 and loving it!!!!!!! No offence to those who got into Floyd at the age of 10 but can one truly understand Floyd at that age. I mean you can think the music is good and everything but do you understand it at 10? Just something I've actually been pondering over for a while and this was the prefect opportnity to voice my puzzlement. Byron, jeepers I was convinced you were in your 20s. Like fixxy (was it fixxy?) said you've done a good job of keeping the youthfulness there. Ever seen Floyd live? My dad saw them in 81 in Vienna and said it was amazing. The gig went for something like 4 hours. Anyway back to the topic cheers

Well, I heard the Music by Pink Floyd at the age of 10. Was completely sold to the great guitar. I really love good guitar playing.:smile:I saw Pink Floyd live playing at the age of 16, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Don't live there any more and that is a pity because Roger Waters is going to perform there and not here, where I live now. The lyrics I understood pretty soon, am a good listener and understander of the English language and the meaning of Pink Floyds songs. I was at the Animals tour and it was wonderful. The movie The Wall I've seen in the cinema. Don't have it on DVD yet, but that will come soon.

Pink Floyd only played The Wall live in 81. I am 100% sure of this. The last time they played Darkide live was 75, besides 94. And the last time they played Echoes live was 75. Though I think they played it in 87 or something.

Sydney, I saw Pink Floyd Live in 1981 at a tender 20 years at Earls Court (Barn), London and they performed THE WALL superbly, I might add. Though David DID fluff his lines a bit on "Run Like Hell" and "Comfortably Numb", I was too much in awe of finally seeing them, I didn't mind ... much. I guess I maintain my youthful outlook by living a psycho-socially adolescent lifestyle. ![]() eug'axe, After "Goodbye Cruel World" there was a bit of an interval and after that, there were animated graphics projected onto the now completed "wall" accompanied by the band members above, before and, one assumes, behind said wall playing "Money", "Time", "Welcome To The Machine" and "On The Run" (with swooping, crashing airplane & pyrotechnics.) "Your lips move, but I can't hear what you're saying." Byron
