Sure it could. Queues to get in. Getting in. Sorting out the seats. Finding there's tons of time before the show. Pink Floyd won't be having a guest band warming up, what an idea. Queues for refreshments/merchandise while your date is off to the loo. Search for date, because there seem to be 100s of loos. Finding the seats again. The show must go on. It goes on. Sweating like a pig (which, in fact, doesn't bacause a pig has no sweat glands). INTERVAL. Queues for refreshments while your date is off to the loo...again. Search for date, because there seem to be 100s of loos. Go to loo yourself. Finding the seats again. The show must go on. It goes on. "Tear Down The Wall!" FINALE. Half-step toward the exits, which takes half an hour because of the crowd - thank goodness there wasn't a fire. Crawl out in motorcar tailbacks, or wait endlessly for a non-sardine-packed train/subway/bus. More than 4 hours easy.

I think he meant the show itself.

Yeah, but the concert going experience is more than just THE SHOW! But nevermind.

That's true, half of the experience is finding drugs. Another quarter of it is taking the drugs.

I'm going to have to go with Bride of a bull here. I'm sure that by 81 they could've easily pulled off 4 hrs. The wall album itself goes for like an hour and a half or something (don't have it with me so I can't check). Then the ibterval, give that half an hour. So there goes two. And lets say they played Shine on and Echoes the two together clock up almost an hour and then all the rest of it. Money, time... And no offence eugenesaxe but i would think that the people who were ther would have a much better idea of how long it went for. Anyway good day to all and forgive the email pollution cheers

I am telling you a fact. They ONLY PLAYED THE WALL in 1980 and 1981. No other songs. It's common knowledge for f***'s sake. Look it up, prove me wrong.

I may have been off my head at the time, but I wasn't THAT far off my head that I don't remember what was played during the THE WALL concert I attended. Sorry, eug'axe - seems folk are giving you a hard time of late - but I can't comment on what's in a book, but what I distinctly remember. Shine on! Byron
