As one of the resident Rush "freaks" within this here lovely community of Pink Floyd, I feel that it is my duty to throw out my 2 cents regarding Rush's release today of "Feedback", the first recordings of cover songs by Rush.
Feedback is awesome, and you can pick it up for 7 or 8 US Dollars. (Only about 35 minutes of music) Rush wanted to pay tribute to their influences to commemorate their current 30th anniversary tour, and it includes songs like Crossroads, The Seeker, Summertime Blues, and For What it's Worth. These guys can do no wrong, and they recorded these songs the way only Rush knows how, with an unmatched sense of musicianship and rockability. Alex Lifeson simply shreds on Crossroads and Summertime Blues rocks. Heart Full of Soul is probably my favorite off the album as of today though
I wholeheartedly recommend it to any fan of the 60's classics, or Rush fan, old or new.
That is all.
