I've heard rumours (usually from other people insisting they're right) that the voice was Linda McCartney. Not sure if this is true though. I do know she was one of the people they recorded, but not quite sure if she was one of the voices USED for the album.

Linda McCartney can be heard towards the end of Great Gig. Her voice is barely audible but she says something like, "I'm not afraid of dying."

Paul and Linda McCartney cannot be heard anywhere on the album, their answers were recorded but not used, this is reported on every interview or article regarding Dark Side.

OK, I did a little research on the net and you're right. I always thought that voice was Linda McCartney's. The actual line is, "I never said I was frightened of dying."

Look, no matter how you slice it or who did what to great gig, the fair thing for those involved to do would be to admit that at the time noone could know how huge this was going to be but since it became big ,"Here's a couple extra bucks for your help" and give the dear lady some damned money.

This isn't the first time the Islington Green School kids have raised a stink about it. Around the time the single was hitting #1 everywhere on the planet there was a scandal about how little they were paid etc. etc. and Roger Waters ended up sending a free copy of The Wall to every kid in the class.

And now they want a cut of the profit? Screw that. Next thing you know the kid who says "look mummy there's an aeroplane up in the sky!" will be suing for millions. If you don't ask for royalties in the first place, you should only get your one-time fee and nothing else. Sorry, Clare.

Yep. Just read about that choir deal. Seriously, some people need to understand that what happened over 25 years ago is a little late to change now. If you didn't create a contract then, it's too late to make one now.

After all, Roger did contribute money to their school, they all got gold discs of the album (which I'm sure could fetch a large sum on eBay), AND they got to appear on the 3rd best selling album of all time. To ask for more is just greed.
