hooking them together (bass and guitar amp)

i heard what gilmour did with his rig and i find it interest and want to test it out. how exactly would you do that? what kind of extensions? connections? outputs? inputs? that sort of thing, which i dont know a lot about. educate me please responses are appreciated.

youd probably just get something that splits ur signal, then put one into a bass amp and the other into a guitar amp
