Re: Just watched PF 66-67 film...!

For the first time ! Cool thing, but there is not as much Floyd as I wish in it !!! Syd is very hazy...
But anyway it was the first time I've seen so young Floyds I just couldn't help screaming - ooohhh Roger...whooo Ricky...whooo Nick...without the moustache !!! Syd...eeeiiii !!!!
Great vid.
But of course it'd be cool to see young Dave as well (wasn't he absolutely handsome ? :smile Bet he was...hehe...

Your opiniopns ?

Re: Just watched PF 66-67 film...!

If you look at the CD liner for the album David Gilmour, I think there is a picture of him from his Joker's Wild days...I leave you to draw your own conclusions. I cannot comment on Mr. Gilmour's appearance myself. Why? Basically, it has to do with a certain picture in PULSE with a red background, another in About Face, and a scary resemblance to a family member.

Re: Just watched PF 66-67 film...!

Oh, I'm sorry if I was unclear.

I meant that Mr. Gilmour resembles someone in MY family (especially around the time of PULSE)! That's why it's a little hard for me to comment on his looks! I'm sure you can understand that...

And if I ever come across that early picture on the Internet, I will be sure to post a link for you.

Re: Just watched PF 66-67 film...!

Thank you FW, and slightly off-topic I must admit that Mr Wright is the Floyd who aged the most gracefully I like his look now more than that he had in the early days.
Anyway...

Re: Just watched PF 66-67 film...!

Though Mr. Waters hasn't done so badly himself (is it me, or did the guy mature like wine does? :smile, I have to agree with you about Mr. Wright. I have almost NEVER seen a bad picture of him. I can recall ONE in the 80's where he picked out some disaster clothes...but come on! This is the 80's I'm talking about! Do you think he had a choice?

Anyway, I agree that he's aged quite gracefully. Ever see the photo on the back of "Broken China"? Heck, my grandmother couldn't believe the guy was in his 50's when I told her...and described him as "a good-looking man"! (Why were we discussing this? I was showing her a drawing I did.) It's those warm eyes of his, I think. Is that your opinion as well?

Warm eyes - oh, absolutely ! And kinda shy smile. Calm, nice, absolutely English. Perfect Englishman
Isn't he ?

Re: Just watched PF 66-67 film...!

Yeah...seems like, if his demeanour and his interviews are any indication, he would be a most pleasant person to talk to. Even his songs' lyrics show that attitude; he doesn't make loud, outright demands.

If I could choose to meet a Floydian, he'd be the one.

Wright aging gracefully? I just finished watching the DSoT video for the hundredth time...I'll say it again, the guy looks like a scarecrow, and that was 1988...

Re: Just watched PF 66-67 film...!

Ever seen the picture of him playing squash (or racquetball, whichever it is) back in the 60's? It's not like he was ever very bulky.

Ever seen a picture of him from PULSE or "Broken China"? I'd say that the appearance you describe was "just a passing phase".

Ok - um if you really want to discuss the best looking Floyd member (though i'm not at liberty, nor would i want the liberty to participate in the discussion) - start up a new post in the General section or "just babbling" section.

Much Obliged,
