The only song I know is slither, and it really has been badly produced. It's compressed to the shithouse, there are virtually no dynamics in that song.

I think slither is an okay song, but I am not sure if it is better than all that mainstream stuff out there. By the way, how many of you think that Three Days Grace and Jet are crappy bands?

Me too. Jet is worse than 3 Days Grace though.. their damned songs are too catchy. They get stuck in my head, and I hate that. As for Three Days Grace - too much screaming and shouting the same old things over and over for me. Brock

When listening to Contraband, you can hear some of those STP influences as well, but other than that, it's great stuff. Blows Axl right out of his hole.

I haven't heard the album but I like Slither. I will probably get it one day as I am a fan of both STP and GnR. One thing I can say though.. at least they got an album out.. that's better than you can say about the freak circus that was Axl Rose's new GnR.. lol

The best thing about VR is by far Slash. If he wasn't in the band, they'd be a load of bollocks.

I really like Velvet Revolver. Contraband is a good rock album, but if I have one complaint it would be the production. It tends to gloss over the rock songs. The ballads are perfect. I think You Got No Right and Loving the Aliens(Waters) are magnificent. Their cover of Money is solid, in my opinion. I really like Slash's talk box effect.
