I'm going to go all out with Roger albums. I have to see how he pulled it off -- the story of Floyd continued, I would like to see how Mr. Waters' story goes. I have no intent to buy any Gilmour solo albums, but I would also like to buy Wright's albums.

I dunno though, four Roger albums, all at once. That may have some side effects involved.

TFC by far. Although its clearly waters dominated, the lyrics are very good, and the music isn't bad. Even though Gilmour's solo's are mostly very simple, they are also very emotional and powerful. Your Possible Pasts and The Fletcher memorial home solo's in particular.

Momentary Lapse is very different, and its just not as good without Roger.

Ah yes, I remember the days when I would sit around listening to nothing but Floyd album after Floyd album over and over again. I recently realized I've barely been listening to any Floyd lately. They are still my favorite band but i don't really listen to them anymore. Does that make sense to anyone?

Honestly, I cannot see this happening to me. Floyd is my religion, and I am going to practice them regularly.

Time. Well, I've had plenty of it. I quit my job about three months ago (about the time I joined the APFFN. Ha!), and I've already graduated high school -- don't know about plans for the future yet.

So I've had a whole lot of time -- and I'm not very productive -- except for music. Music is it. I am constantly listening to music (when I say music, I mean Floyd), trying to play thier tunes, or writing tunes of my own.

But, judgement day is coming soon. I need a job so bad -- I miss those paychecks. I also need to do something for my future. But I plan to work all of that around my Floyd listening.

Both are heinously underrated.

TFC has amazing poetry, and, despite not being incredibly musically inclined, is still catchy and bears many repeat listenings.

AMLOR has got some great music and instrumentation. Underrated.

final cut i like more...gunners dream...mmm

but once again, are you sure you can compare these two albums...i mean, the have nothing in common...(there;s only the thing that dave plays guitar on both of them, but even that is totaly different)

learning to fly is, on the other hand, beautiful, especialy if youre spending too much time in snowy fields and forest (like i do) or on some countryside. (snowy!)...that carries you away...

bla bla...

A Momentary Lapse of Reason blows The Final Cut right out of the water.

Though, I am growing to love TFC with repeated listens. But AMLOR is overall the better album.

How could you say something like this man? TFC is one of Floyd's best albums AMLOR is one of their worst maybe even their worst.

Because it's my opinion! I enjoy AMLOR more.

Now, if you compare on a lyrical basis...well...The Final Cut is so much better than AMLOR a comparison is almost laughable.

But on a MUSICAL basis, AMLOR is superior.
