Dodgy Pulse DVD

Hi all,

Think Ive inadvertantly bought a dodgy Pulse DVD off ebay!!
Id searched around the net for it and some online American shops said they had it, which made me think it was out in the US.

So me being in the UK I thought Id see if I could get one early before it was UK released....hence me going on ebay and finding this: http://i24.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/db/9d/7a_1_b.JPG

It arrived this morning, and although it works and the picture quality seems OK, the whole thing has a 'home made' feel about it....the main titles in the main menu are just 2 buttons typed in Times Roman font.

From just reading a post on here about the Pulse DVD, I gather it's not released worldwide yet!

So, although I've made a boob here by buying this dodgy version....Ill urge all Floyd fans out there...NOT TO BUY the DVD with this cover!!

That'll teach me to be impatient!

PULSE DVD - they are hoping that this may be released, worldwide, at some point in October. Any actual dates you may have already heard for its release are simply supposition at this stage. In terms of content, the main feature is finished, and some decisions are being made at the moment with regard to additional content to complete the package. Any DVDs you already see for sale (on, for example, online auction sites) are fakes, created from either the original VHS tapes or from laserdisc. A lot of work has been done on the official version and it should be worth waiting for! We will be speaking to PFM again shortly for an update on this project...

Infact EMI/EMKA were getting so pissed off at people asking if the internet DVDs were real thay sent out a statement that no one should buy anything until they say so. Basicaly if it aint on the high street then it's a fake.

Well that'll teach me wont it.....sadly I didnt find this place before I went looking.....and apart from me Ill blame a few online shops for misleading information!

You have to be careful with ebay, there are always pirate DVDs of yet-unreleased old official videos.

Yer I was stoopid not to pick it up...the whole thing oozes bad design!

The picture doesn't work properly for me (it's very pixellated). What fake lens flare?

Cheeky sods even put the copyright notice on the back!

Heh. Sorry dude, but if a DVD looks that fake and there's no official word, don't buy the thing!

Yer unfortunately its a bit hard to spot a dodgy DVD on ebay......and I wasnt sure if it was out or not in the UK, so I thought this was the US version.......comfortablydumb indeed!

At least you learned from your mistake. How much did you get burned?

Only £20.....and the thing works OK....it's just badly put together....the DVD menu looks tacky.....but the concerts OK.....roll on the release of the proper one!
