Wow! Cool little mix of "Empty Spaces". Where did you get that version of What Shall We Do Now? It sounds great!

Re: Pink Floyd "In A Nutshell" mixes.

by the way, your version of "Dogs" is splendid....those anxiety attacks must've paid off! Honestly, I've always thought Dogs was a little too long, and your version makes it easier to take in.

Re: Pink Floyd "In A Nutshell" mixes.

the copy of WSWDN came off the dvd of the Wall.... the outro of it (the repeating of "backs to the waaaaalll") came from the Demo of the Wall...

and the Dogs cut was still difficult. I WANTED to splice bits and pieces into something cohesive.... and I finally just concluded I would take the guitar duet a few minutes into the song and cut everything between that and the practically identical duet near the END of the song. A quick and easy cut, much like chopping off a finger. **cringe**

These are brilliant. Compact versions of albums i'm thinking of buying. I'm downloading PATGOD and will download TFC and saucerful before the day is out. Good show!

Re: Pink Floyd "In A Nutshell" mixes.

hopefully it inspires you to buy them.... that was my main goal was to show people a peek at something they're not sure they want. So remember, these are DEFINITELY not a substitute for the real thing. Just a glimpse!!

I will probably upload AMLOR and DivBell tomorrow. time permitting.

anyways, I am glad people like them. I think I'll rip kCrimson to shreds, but that would be a definite challenge.

Re: Pink Floyd "In A Nutshell" mixes.

Okay here it is...., the final installment.

- A Momentary Lapse of Reason -- This was the FIRST one I did... so bear with me. I think all in all, this one turned out wonderfully considering I wasnt sure what I was going to do AT ALL. Sometimes I think I cut the wrong stuff... but oh well. the only REAL complaint is going into the chorus of One Slip, I think I skipped a beat, and being a drummer, that sucks. Listen for all the many MANY overlapping of intros. My favourite is what I did to Yet Another Movie... if you listen close enough, you will hear one part below another part of the song........ also the fade out of Terminal Frost contains an almost hidden "Only a lifetime" .... I did some artisitc crap here. and I put the beginning of Sorrow at the end... anyways, let me know what y'all think.

- The Division Bell -- Okay this one is good. I made the entire thing, and it seemed to be MISSING something.... so I took the "Soundscape" from the Pulse cassette...... and layed it behind this mix. and it just HAPPENED to fit PERFECTLY. Listen for yourself..... this was the biggest coincidence that I have ever had happen to me. I like it. a lot.
Uhm, listen to the intro to Coming Back To Life... thats my favourite part of this one.

There, opinions and critiques are muchly enjoyed.

Re: Pink Floyd "In A Nutshell" mixes.

I somehow obtained a CD of Dark Side of the Moon with 3 bonus tracks. One is a song off Rick Wright's first solo album, one is a song off a Snowy White solo album, and one is the 8 tracked version of Pigs On the Wing.... all rather nicely remastered.

I don't know where the CD came from, Japan or the states or the UK.... but the artwork is the same as the Shine On DSOTM cd.

...and whoever picked the bonus tracks had a thing for Snowy White!

I've seen that too, it's a bootleg. The Snowy White track and the 8-track version of POTW are off Snowy's CD "Goldtop."

Re: Pink Floyd "In A Nutshell" mixes.

Well if this is a bootleg, it's a VERY F***ING well produced one. I mean, damn.

Ok, sorry for the sarcasm. Anyways, mine isn't a bootleg. Turns out, it's published by EMI. Got full liners and everything... the UPC number is 0777 7 80566 2 1 .... I am tempted to take it to work and scan it and see if I have info for it ( Best Buy... whee! =OP )

But yeah, it is most definitely an offical EMI release.

Re: Pink Floyd "In A Nutshell" mixes.

thanks.... this is how i spend what little free time I have. just remixing and messing with stuff. boredom i think..... anyways, i am thinking of just setting up a site for these remix things and offering people burned copies if they dont want to bother downloading them....... it takes 5 cd's for all of them. (with proper separation, of course.... I could fit on 4 but the wall would be split and stuff like that.)

anyways, if anyone wants cd's of them instead of bothering downloading them, email me at theunabeefer@theunabeefer.com and we can set something up. I buy blank cd's and cases in bulk and at cost, so any cost would only be on shipping really. (if any charge at all.... I ecstatically like to burn cd's for people) so yeah. back to doing nothing.
