If they would have included it, it wouldn't be the first song cause then the album wouldn't begin and end like there first album PATGOD which starts with Astronomy Domine and ends with Bike....

If you are a true floyd fan you would just go out and work on your collection untill you have everything!!!

I think thoes "best of" albums only include the songs that were HUGE successful hits in order to give a new Floyd listener a taster of what they are all about, and what albums they have, etc...

Echoes is definitley lacking in what I think are their best songs. Then again I own all their albums and a bunch of ROIOs.

If you want a good best of album, the one Floyd should have put out, go get your hands on "Total Eclipse".

I have always thought "breathe" was on Echoes.

I just checked my Vinyl version and sure enough it is not on it.

it would be very difficult to have the full effect of breath, without the interlude of time, but on echoes, it would run the risk of being a dark side!

like with all floyd albums, each song is so powerful becuase of its position in the album!

in my opinion it would spoil the song!

They should just put every floyd song on a CD and christen it greatest hits. There are so many songs that aren't on Echoes everyone would be happier if they had just done that. Besides, all Floyd songs kick ass!

I've spent the last 2 years or so putting that list of songs (along with a few others) together and making a 2CD sequel to Echoes, complete with remastered sound and crossfades and artwork and everything. You might see it soon.

Personaly i find it impossible to make a "best of" pink ffloyd cd. I like it when all hte song are played in order tha they are on the original release> My solution to the "best of" pink floyd issue is : Put all the CDs into a boxed set and call that the Best of

I never buy gh sets, so it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
