merge all forums into one big forum called "stupidity"

when i first got here, i was quite interested in this place because i love reading about one of my favorite bands. there are many positives about this site.. the bios, writings, articles and interviews are all awesome.. but this forum is awful. i expected intelligent discussion.. but its just morons who have obviously either spent far too many hours daily here or have been here for too many years and it has gotten to the point where brains seem completely rotted and useless. its a shame really.. because with all the knowledge thats tucked away somewhere, this forum could be really good.. hats off to the creator for the rest of the site.. i will certainly read off of that part often.. but the forum is just a waste of time.

Sorry we're not as polished and cerebral as you. I'd hate to think that we may diminish your IQ, with our lack-luster wit and banal conversations.. I mean after all, This is an Internet Forum.. where all the worlds problems are discussed and solved. I mean Heaven forbid that individuals with graduate degrees and high pressure jobs would log on here and find common ground, surrounding music we all love, with high school aged kids and actually relax and enjoy themselves....

alright re-reading it i must admit that it was unnecessarily harsh and i apologize. its just that its quite frustrating when a topic interests you and after 2 and a half replies it swerves into something that doesn't. as for the grammar, i am sorry it doesnt reach your high standards. english isnt my preferred language and i dont pay attention when chatting/posting.

Allow me to say this much. Why on earth did you post that? Am I correct that you feel that the forum should be scrapped as it is, database deleted and all it's members told to piss off, while new members who can endlessly discuss Pink Floyd without waver are joined up, so that you can have the "intelligent discussion" you crave?

So what if we wander off topic. That's really no reason to trash the entire forum in one blanket condemnation. If you wish to steer threads back on topic then do so in the form of intelligent follow-up posts, not in personal attacks on the posters. If your question isn't answered or your curiosity unsatisfied, then tell us on a topic-by-topic basis. By the way, this is not the best way to introduce yourself.
