| Favorite Line-Ups of Multiple Line-Up Bands? (*Tried the search for "line-ups" to make sure*) How about we discuss the best line ups of bands that have had an infinite number of different members over the years, like Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Santana, The Byrds, etc. Most of those examples are my favorites so: DEEP PURPLE: There's the infamous MkII line-up of Gillan-Glover-Blackmore-Lord-Paice, but I also think the MkIV line-up of Lord-Paice-David Coverdale-Tommy Bolin-Glenn Hughes was a hard rocking band. The "Come Taste the Band" album is underrated, and there's a live album called "This Time Around: Live in Tokyo '75" that shows their power onstage (even if those tours were infamous for deterioration from drug use and stuff). Tommy Bolin was proving himself to be a pretty competent songwriter too. THE BYRDS: The original was a classic, but I appreciate the later line-up that helped pioneer country-rock (thanks to Gram Parsons), the line-up of Roger McGuinn, the late great Clarence White, Skip Battin, and Gene Parsons. Underrated. JETHRO TULL: Ian Anderson/Martin Barre/John Glascock/Barriemore Barlow/John Evans/David Palmer will always be the best version, though some talented musicians floated in and out in the years to come. KING CRIMSON: All credit to the original line-up, but: Robert Fripp/John Wetton/David Cross/Bill Bruford & the later Fripp/Adrian Belew/Tony Levin/Bill Bruford. |

| Re: Favorite Line-Ups of Multiple Line-Up Bands? A lot of bands only seem to hit their stride after one or two member changes. Weird.

| Re: Favorite Line-Ups of Multiple Line-Up Bands? Whew! Go Jethro Tull they altered the members of the band like 20 or so times and yet through it all they still managed to put together excellent songs.

| Re: Favorite Line-Ups of Multiple Line-Up Bands? It's funny when Stewey puts on diapers and looks at himself in the mirror and says, "does this make me look fat?"
