Re: Limp Bizkit sings Floyd

I hate their addition of "extra lyrics." What a joke. And boy oh boy do they sound feigned next to Townshend's.

WHAT?!?! A COVER OF "COMFORTABLY NUMB"?

Yes, it finally happened (I saw it with my own eyes Sunday the 4th January on Channel 4's T4) and it made me cry. It's by Scissor Sisters, and it literally is the worst possible cover of anything i ever heard in my life. Worse than Five and Queen together...

Yeah that's really sickening. Stupid little kids with no taste in good music, idolizing Fred Durst furthermore and giving him credit for songs he didn't write. This generation wouldn't know a who song if it slapped them upside the head and said, "who are you."

Then it is the duty of all three of you to go forth and enlighten these uncultured savages in the righteous ways and arts of The Who (and other artists deserving of acclaim) and to reject the inanities that spew forth from the mouth of the false prophet Fred Durst.

I was wondering what it was saying. I agree that they should have left the guitar solo in. Such tackiness...

Re: Limp Bizkit sings Floyd

one time i heard someone doing a cover of wish you were here, and right in the middle he turned it into this christian song. it was like...so disgusting. I mean..how dare they take good music and try to sell their religion on it. Thats appalling.
anyway, I did listen to Radiohead and Sparklehorse doing a cover of wish you were here, and it wasn't that bad. the main guitar was a piano, which was interesting difference but definetly not as good, and Thom didn't do vocal which was sad cause he has such a great moving voice, it would have been ten times better.
I dunno,im getting sick with limp bizkit doing covers. they recently did a cover of a who song, I think they're trying to get their reputation back by doing covers cause they can't write good lyrics (or lyrics period). Fred is an offensive, retarded cry baby that has no talent.

I think it is pretty good, so is the Foo Fighters version of Have A Cigar if only some one would do a redo of WTTM then I could make a mini WYWH remix.

Re: Limp Bizkit sings Floyd

It surprised me. I can't imagine a band like Limp Bizkit doing a cover of "Wish You Were Here" but then again I can't picture them doing The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" either.

SonOfLuciferSam, your avatar... Don't be offended, but it looks a little bit like gay pornography, I assume it isn't of course...
