Greatest Pink floyd Instrumental

Which one get's your vote and why? Personally I choose Atom Heart Mother because its so momumental. Saucerful of Secrets comes in at a close second.

Mudmen, 'cause it's just so monumental (those chorus breaks! Slide guitar bliss!). And then Saucerful of Secrets, 'cause of the end section. And the middle section, musical bedlam.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond, part 9. cuz it's so monumental, for some reason that escapes my mind.

Mudmen is incredible

Interstellar Overdrive is also good

But I prefer the Pink Floyd sound with vocals, it just adds a whole new element to any song.

I'd have to agree with Steechy here and go with Great Gig. I absolutely love that song, it's starts off sounding very mellow, and almost sad, with the voice in the backround talking about being afraid to die, or him not being afraid, and then leades into that beautiful improv solo. Sorry, i just get taken away by that song.

I wouldn't consider GGitS to be an instrumental, just because the vocals (even if there are no actual words) are so important to the piece.

My favorite instrumental would have to be Atom Heart Mother Suite. I can't get enough of it.

Edit: Shit, you're right. There are a few words. Alright, I guess Mudmen is it then. But I really, really like Any Colour You Like also.

I consider them both instrumentals, since their is no actual verse sung in either songs.

i will agree with that also (Us and Mudmen)
it's all about how you put words together to make a song.
Atom Heart Mother Suite....
that is a true intrumental.

Great Gig and AHM are both, indeed, instrumentals. No question here actually.
