Why is the 1994 Remaster of PATGOD so hard to find here in the US?

I was buying Animals from a CD store, and it was the old one and the guy said "no no no! don't buy that! we have the remastered one. I don't usually tell people to get remastered ones, but you can really tell the difference with Floyd".

All of my collection is of the remasters. I'm not really worried about having anything "original" or anything, with me, it's all about the sound. And in thirteen years, maybe they'll release a 50th Anniversary edition of 'Piper at the Gates'--Some kind of high-powered super deluxe audio disc, or something like that--Anyway the point is that I'll probably buy it because the sound quality will surely be better.
