No. Floyd fans don't rip off the Floyd. Or, I should say, TRUE fans don't.

Re: Echoes - MP3

One may well think the lads have enough money in their coffers, but I must echo Radiochair's sentiments and demand you go out and BUY the album/CD/whatever.

Honestly, this Internet dealy is fostering a culture of theft and penny-pinching.

Financially Floydian,
Byron

Re: Echoes - MP3

Well, "real" Floyd fans don't need this disc for anything but the booklet it comes with (which you can't exactly find online). I hate how common MP3s have become with Napster that people would come to a message board like this and ask such a thing, though. Buy the damn album already.

Lol

Radiochair- you are the bastard son of Roger Waters(the man, not the fan) and Bill Hicks (RIP).

It's a compliment.

Re: Echoes - MP3

Before I bought any Floyd album, I would download it just to hear it. I made an agreement with myself, anything I download and liked, I would buy and NOT cheat.

There are many reasons why fans should buy the CD's

1: The sound quality is so much better than even the best MP3 (320kbps)
2: You getting the album officially (This may sound weird but it's just something about me that hates doing things cheaply)
3: You get the label on the CD (Usually quite nice - i.e - Final Cut)
4: Booklet (Usually quite nice - i.e - Piper At The Gates Of Dawn)

I rest my case.

I like the way that ShineOYCDiamond is edited together especially for this cd, Pulse having the live version of course. Also, the added sound effects on Us and Them and Bike as well as the metamorphisis of songs.

But you cant download the art and packaging.

Re: Echoes - MP3

I always download a few songs before I buy a CD. I've always heard that when you buy something on your own, you enjoy it more. The artwork is always worth getting, anyway.

There are added sound effects on Us and Them?? What do you mean by this??
