Re: New Waters Album

Suerly you were being sarcastic Radiochair.....I mean K.A.O.S kicking ass (HA!!) I don't absolutely like that album at all. Saying all this takes a lot out of me [I'm critisizing Waters work] I consider criticism as above me...humans are VERY good at it...which is why I TRY to stay away from it. I hope it's good though. I never wish ill-luck upon nobody

Re: New Waters Album

I also look forward to the new album, but I think it is going to be delayed for a good reason: Mr. Waters is very heavily influenced by current events...and I think he is probably going to retool the concept now to account for all of the awful things that have happened. I can't imagine him NOT making a statement about it.

And I too look forward to Ca Ira.

Re: New Waters Album

Yes Roger, I was being sarcastic. I am very skilled in being that. It had it moments, but it wasn't up to par with his past work. But, I certainly hope that a new Waters album is great. I would really like that. Yes, I would. Indeed.

Re: New Waters Album

I agree, and feel that although it may cause delay, waters will be very forthright in tying in current events. i honestly can't wait. I suspect we won't be hearing his rendition of 'god bless america'. That is, though very touching, a bit over done (and played) at this point.

Re: New Waters Album

I expect a more incisive analysis than that. Here's what (if I understand Mr. Waters' mindset) I expect: there would be a definite condemnation of the terrorists for their acts, most likely coupled with a strong reminder of how we can bend religious doctrine for our own selfish, evil purposes (think ATD). He would then explore the reaction to it--there have certainly been some beautiful acts of kindness and generosity that arose from the tragedy...and this leads to how he will preserve "Each Small Candle." (In my particular take on this, I will use that theme in two separate but related ways.) But he will also look at what he is likely to view as a misguided overreaction by America. However, I think he would call on the individual to do something, that we are not completely helpless in the face of terror--or in the face of what our governments are up to. We can't change everything...but with love (remember, he said once that the original theme centred around a strange thing he called "love in spite of traffic"...whatever that means) and compassion for each other, we CAN make a small difference. "Each Small Candle" again.

Wouldn't it be odd if the theme actually followed something that someone postulated here?
