You imply that they intended to maintain the point of the song rather than simply rehash a decent track for a quick hit and a bit more recognition.

He also implies that Comfortably Numb was once good in order for it to be ruined.

I could care less about cover versions of songs I don't even listen to anymore.

You want cover versions of pink floyd songs? Try wyclef jean's wish you were here, great song for comedy value alone. Radiohead also covered it but its rather whiney and poor. Seriously though download wyclef jeans version

I heard a Ween cover of CN, very good.
Also has anyonee heard that Les Claypool covered the whole Animals album?
It's pretty awesome music, it's not with Primus though, it's,
"Les Claypool's Frog Brogade"

Thats one of the worst things I've ever heard (the techno one)

Les Claypool is great - I love their cover of the entire 'Animals' album/

Re: Cover Of Comfortably Numb

i seriously hope they stole that without pink floyd's permission, otherwise it means that pf are a bunch of sellouts for letting some annoying voiced irish excasty addicts bastardize a song like that for a few quick $$$.

I maybe barking up the wrong tree here but isn't there a time limit for copyright, say 25 years perhaps?

Re: Cover Of Comfortably Numb

Perhaps PF believe that they made music for others to experience and enjoy, and if others can get enjoyment out of performing Pink Floyd music in a variety of ways, then Pink FLoyd are happy--rather than they did it for money????

I've heard that Gilmour gave it his blessing and said he quite likes it. What's excasty btw? Is it like exlax?

Yeah, Nick Mason also really likes the Scissor Sisters. They're nothing new.
