Cool The Who - Live at the Isle of Wight

I just saw a taping of the 1970 concert at the Isle of Wight at my local movie theater and was blown away. I personally think it was one of the greatest I've ever seen. It comes out on dvd and video on August 10th, so I suggest you go out and get yourself a copy if you're a Who lover. Later.

See, I thought I already had that dvd...i'll have to double check.

I really don't fancy the one i have very much. Some stuff is good, but the overdubs are painfully obvious, which always bothers me. the editing wasn't fantastic either. The Teenage Cancer Trust show at Earl's Court is a good one, though.

Ahhh, you must have seen it at Regal. I was going to see it but didn't have the time.

I live in your neck of the woods by the way.

On stage The Who was superb. This DVD is a prove of that.
Live at Leeds is an excellent live record too.

Live At Leeds was an awesome live album, but I was less impressed with the Isle of Wight DVD. It still is good, but lacks the amount of energy put into Live at Leeds, which sounds electrifying even after the disgusting amount of noise reduction slathered on the second disc!
