Cry-Babys are good but they're more guitar orientated. Also they work manually so you have to change the pot a lot. I'd suggest something by Morley. They work through optical shiznit and are generally groovy. You can get models which are also volume pedals which are very useful and effective with keyboards.

Does to my ear... It's basically the same sound but through a different manner, it doesn't affect the overall tone as much as you'd think it does...

according to gilmourish, there aint much difference in the vox and the crybaby, i thought the crybaby was good, but i cant say that my opinion is worth anything. Its was the new crybaby...

They're all just as good for keyboards, morley, dunlop and vox. The point is is that the morley uses better technology which does not need constant attention in terms of changing pots etc. Sorry, I seem to be getting a little passionate about this, I'll be quiet now and just let you decide...

Optical = no moving parts, therefore you don't have to replace it nearly as often. It's pretty simple.

They explain stuff like this in the shop whilst trying to sell you stuff. I know the people in the shops so they're not trying to con me, it genuinly does have optical stuff. But go for whichever one you want. |

I found that cry babys don't have enough range to get funky with on a keyboard, I'm still searching.....

the Jim Dunlop GCB-95 (Crybaby), the new one, has the worst sweep range. With some modding it can sound like an older one. But i would suggest a Vox Wah for a wide sweep range. Ive heard they kill tone though.
