My introduction

Through a search on "The Wall", I found this site to be interesting enough to look into. I decided to join the forums shortly thereafter.

I've been a Pink Floyd fan as far back as I can remember. I recall hearing excerpts from "The Wall" when I was just in the second grade. I even recall joining up with a large group of friends to sing "Another Brick in the Wall Part II" and driving the school faculty over-the-rainbow nuts! Ah, those were the days.

Although that was back in 1979, my fanfare for the band grew over time. All that I've done and all that I am -- to this very day -- I never lost one sparkle of appreciation for the group. It saddened me that Roger Waters was no longer with the group, but at the same time I was glad to know the remaining members flourished and went on to produce what I deem the greatest music to date, as we know it. I even went out to Los Angeles to see Pink Floyd in my sophomore year in High School during their "Momentary Lapse of Reason" tour; talk about a hell of a show. Unfortunately, by the time Pink Floyd released "The Division Bell" in 1994 and went on tour that very moment, I was unable to get a ticket. They sold out almost a half hour after tickets went on sale! Needless to say, I was pretty ticked off, but at least I managed to audio-tape their 1994 press conference on KLOS radio.

Even though I can sit here and talk about Pink Floyd from dawn until dusk, I feel it doesn't tell you one bit about who I am, so I'll get to that now and then close.

Those of you that have been in the horror fandom of literature may have seen this name circulating around. My name is Brett Blumfield, author of "The Outer Realm", the forthcoming book "Brandish Mountain", and possessor of a most eerie mind. > Several of my works of poetry have been seen in places like Dark Walls and Naked Snake Press. Another publication, called Night to Dawn, will be publishing another one of my dark poems. Next to writing novels and poetry, I am found in the dark corner of my basement jamming out to some Pink Floyd tunes (among other musical faves). I used to host an internet radio show called the Time Machine Show (but my literary projects took over any spare time I had, so I opted to give up the show). Now, all my time is devoted to my writings, which I don't mind in the least. It is, after all, a labor of love.

If you love what you do, you can and will succeed. If you don't, you might as well be living on the dark side of the moon.
