I rather like how this combination works out, but I don't like the litle voices in the background that go "run, run, run, run....", they are to short. On the studio version of 'The Wall', when they say "ruuun, ruuun, ruuun, ruuun....", they are drug out longer<--------pointless babble:pay no attention; I apologize.

You know, for Mr. Waters having such a deep voice, he can sure whine

Yeah I have one of the bootleg dvds of The Wall performed live, and in that Dave and Roger alternate with the lines.

And yes, Roger is a complete psycho...

Yer just now figguring that out....
An actual excerpt from Roger diary...

"Couldn't sleep, decided to make a list of things that keep me awake at night -

Thinking about the war.
Thinking about my father/mother/the war.
Going round Daves house at 3:00AM and singing "and when the band you're in starts playing different tunes" at the top of my voice.
Being repeatedly beaten over the head with a rubber chicken.
Thinking about market forces and the soap opera state.
Going round Daves at 4:00AM, running thru his garden and singing "the lunatic is on the grass" at the top of my voice.
Thinking some more about the war.
Wondering just what I'm going to do to Dave if he comes round and starts any of that rubber chicken shit tonight.
Lying awake writing lists.
Fell asleep before I could do number 10."

Well not really... but t's probabaly close..

Yes, on "Is There Anybody Out There?" art concert both Rog and Dave sing, because it's impossible for a human to sing for so long without breathing

and yes, it's very obvious that Rog is a psycho from the mid 60's 'till present times

I would like to point you in the direction of Run Like Hell Live In Berlin...

That was a joke as the smile suggested. Actually Rog is famous with his ability to hold notes for a long time (at least when he was younger).

The idea of both Rog and Dave singing was in relation to the fact that "Is There Anybody..." is an art show and not a proper concert and this had to resemble two people talking to each other (like in the studio album where each line comes from a different panning position in the mix).

I think you woke up on the wrong side of the bad this morning.
Actually being a psycho means being cool...(at least I see it that way)

Actually, last time I checked it means "a person afflicted with psychosis."

Dave sings "ruuun ruuun" on the studio album, on ITAOT it's a gang of unhearlded backing vocalists.

That must be why it sounds so different. Damn those backing vocalists

Listening closely to the studio version of The Wall, it sounds as if Roger has actually recorded each line seperately and then glued it all together at the end. Each line overlaps at the end/beginning of each phrase: which is probably why they need two singers on the live versions.
