Me

I play my guitar with my left hand on the fretboard too, like Steve Morse.

I'm also one of the 7% of Americans who are left-handed, I play my guitar left-handed as well.

I'm left handed, but I learned to play guitar and bass like a right-handed person. A "special" left-handed guitar seems kind of silly now.

You could just play a right-hander upside down, like Doyle Bramhall II in Roger's In the Flesh 2000 band...

I think there's more control over the strings with vibrato and bending by playing with the dominant hand on the fretboard.
Also, the hand that does all the creative stuff needs more conscious attention and I remember trying to play the true 'left-handed' way and all I could concentrate on was picking and not the creative stuff that the fretboard hand should be doing.

I completely agree. The hand that is strumming the strings isn't doing anything too technical. But the hand on the fretboard controls how most of the strumming is going to sound. Huh, funny isn't it???? It seems it is backwards to others. I mean, most right-handed people play with their left hand on the fretboard, while their dominant hand is just plucking strings.

Although, with a bass, its a little different. Both hands need to have some stability & control (if you play w/ your fingers) because your fingers need to be able to "walk" up and down the strings effectively. Actually, playing bass with your fingers is really the only way to play and get that TRUE bass sound; bass picks tend to take some of the instrument's attitude away.
