Lucid Dreams

I was curious if any of you have ever had a lucid dream?

If you don't know what one is, it's a dream where you can control what's going on, I have not been able to have one of these, but the concept is really cool. My brother had one the other night, and he said it was strange. He reached that point in a dream where you are totally concious of what's happening, and that it is a dream, and he tried to change something, expecting to wake up, which is what happens to me. However, he managed to not wake up and control the dream. He doesn't really remember a lot of it, and he didn't go into too much detail, but the concept is really facinating. Only one other person I know has had one and all he did was have "lots of crazy sex"...go figure. Anyway I was just curious if anybody had ever had one, and if you would care to share what you were able to do?

I can do it, a little bit. I actually did it for the first time about a week ago, I'd kick people out of my dream that I didn't like, and I ended up going out with a Dave Gilmour look alike. Go fig.

I have come tantalizingly close, but I always seem to wake up just when I'm getting to the good parts.

Yeah man, very difficult to control your dreams because there is just so much activity going on inside your head. I think to control dreams, you can become a psychologist and take classes for that sort of thing.

I can see why controlling your dreams would be cool, but I enjoy dreaming because I never know what kind of unexpected turn they might make.

It's not trying to control all of your dreams...a lucid dream is one that you can control, they are not planned, more spontaneous dreams where you become aware, conciously, of whats happening, and then can change it. Not trying to control all of your dreams.
