The man/The Journey

I was wondering, does anyone know if there is a recording of "The Man/The Journey"?

Well, they're Recordings of Illegitimate Origin, ie bootlegs.

I've downloaded plenty of them off Kazaa, but the hub said no mp3's, only quality recordings, or something.

the actuall recording is bootleg and of low quality, so no matter if it's on a mp3, CD or 24bit/192Khz, the quality will remain low...

Actually, that's not true. The reason the hub does not allow mp3s is because they are not of archival quality. No matter how bad the original recording is, we want to preserve every nuance. No matter if it is flawed to begin with, mp3s ALWAYS worsen the sound quality by removing part of the audio.

At pinkroioshn we use (as the name implies) SHN files (or FLAC in a pinch), which are LOSSLESS compression codecs. That means when you convert a wav file to shn or flac and convert it back to wav again, the original and the compressed files are exactly the same, with identical checksums. This is the whole point of digital trading: making sure everyone has an EXACT copy of the original, no matter how bad the original was to start with.

If we didn't care about the lossy compression of mp3, we'd trade on tape or whatever. This is not an arguable point, it's just hub policy.
