i notice the other thread has been deemed too unsuitable for publiv consumption, i didn't really expect anything less, however i would appreciate some answers from wing'd iccarus in response to a post he'd made on the zappa thread

i like the way your assume that you moderators do a fine job...what is your benchmark for quality in regards to a job well done? Because it would appear that the only people you are serving in this forum is yourselves and a small band of moderator wannabes. I love pink floyd .....can't stress that enough, i was into floyd a whole 2 years before i got into zappa...putting that to one side though, i think it's important that as a moderator you should care what the rest of the world thinks of this forum because after all for many NEW floyd fans a site such as this may be their first introduction to the band outwith listening to some songs...so it's vitally important to keep the music of floyd alive...much in the same way we try to keep the music of zappa alive in order that the next generation will still have an appreciation of their art and still be able to get their music. Admittedly perhaps i did go into a petulant frenzy in regards to the post that was made by Fulghum, but i'd never claim to be the biggest zappa fan or floyd fan for that matter and if i ever did make such a claim i'd fully expect to be ridiculed for my obtuse comments.....It seems that this forum punishes conflict and free speech which in my opinion is rather odd when you consider the fact that floyd's music encouraged conflict with what would be deemed traditional standards at the time...think of the deeper meaning in albums such as animals which quietly opposed certain systems of government. Like Arkay pointed out, this forum is notorious for having a fascist policy in regards to freedom of opinion and speech and that's primarily the reason why you're getting so many visitors from the Zappa forum i'd imagine, admittedly it was the post by Fulghum which drew me to speak as it was a source of much merriment over at zappa.com and i decided this was a perfect opportunity to test out the resilience of the moderators....let me tell you i wasn't let down, banned after 2 posts....i think i'd have been banned after 1 if it wasn't for the fact it was 5am when i made them. I'm not going to make any apologies for it as i still don't think i did anything wrong...tell me are you going to campaign to have swear words removed from pink floyd's music to make it more sanitable for the masses? I don't think so.....To sum up, yes i did take great pleasure in upsetting certain elements in this forum but the people who were upset by the comments are the type of people i'd like to upset in everyday life, people who take themselves and their opinions too seriously and people who like to brown nose their way through life in the hope that they can feed off the scraps of their masters.

Ærlig talt mann...... dette forumet er jo en stor vits. Syns du virkelig at det er greit
at en to-tre spesielt utvalgte bedrevitere skal kunne bestemme
hva som kan sies, og av hvem??
Det overasker meg at en Nordmann faktisk syns dette er greit..
Men det finnes da så mange rare folk overalt, hahaha.....
Greit nok at dette er ett "privat" forum, men helt privat er det jo egentlig ikke.
Det er jo åpent for hvem som helst....bare de sier de rette tingene da,
og ikke fornermer disse to-tre bedreviterne. For ikke å snakke om hvis
de avslører at de egentlig ikke helt vet hva de snakker om.

En rekke personer som var innom her fra Zappa forum, ble fort og brutalt kastet på hue og ræva ut....
Ikke for at de sa så mye galt (ett par gjorde kansje det, men ikke alle)...
Nei, de ble læmpa ut fordi de fornerma feil personer i dette forumet..
Mens de foka her inne, som slang like mye og kansje mer dritt til Zappa folka...de ble selvsagt ikke rørt.

Jeg anbefaler deg å ta en tur innom Zappa forumet og se hva som foregår der..
Det hender til og med at det diskuteres PF relaterte temaer der..
Det fine med det forumet er at hvem som helst får lov til å skrive om hva som helst
uten noen som helst risiko for å bli "Banned".

Det stedet her er ett trist sted.....tror til og med gamle PF ville vært flaue over det....

Jeg er faktisk ikke enig med deg. Og jeg tror ikke du vet helt hva du snakker om, og hvem som er så slemme. Tvert imot jeg syns modsa er flotte. Jeg har stor glede av den delen av forumet hvor vi snakker om instrumenter etc, og de pink floyd relaterte tinga her er kjempegøye. Jeg syntes at banninga av de fra zappa forumet var helt flott. Jeg syns at de aller fleste kommentarene i fra den delen faktisk var veldig lavmåls, og jeg repeterer, dette forumet er slik det er, hvis du ikke syns det er noe, så trenger du faktisk ikke komme. Så enkelt er det, og kanskje en saklig melding fra zappa forumet ble slakta av diverse members derfra som bare var ute etter enkelt og greit faenskap. Det var veldig tydlig, både her og på zappa forumet.

Og hva du syns om meg er jeg lite interesert i, du kjenner meg ikke, og hvis forum er ditt liv så syns jeg synd på deg.

I think it's time to find fag floyd's isp. btw, are you 13 or 14 years old. I did a google search and found 1,540,000 links to Pink floyd and zappa brings in 853,000, so according to the most used most popular search engine PF seems to be TWICE as popular as zappa.
