Sorry Terry, but since your elaborate statement is purely opinion-based, it can't really count as scientific fact, and therefore you've only proven that you yourself THINK that Pink Floyd is the greatest. There is no mathematical formula or force of nature that proves that Pink Floyd is the greatest musical force of all time. Heck, I could say Britney Spears is the greatest because she resembles "life" - if your entire life was PARTY TIME! But still, that's just one man's strong opinion, which is still OK around here last time I checked.

the volume of work which sounds fantastic is a big nod in favour of Floyd and I have played it to neutrals who agreed with my choice.

Hell I played them to a Beatles fan who had never heard the Floyd and the first thing they said was, "yep Floyd are the greatest."

I made a neutral poll in the radiomute forum......Zep came first Beatles second Floyd third.

someone thoought if the Beatles weren't there...Floyd could beat Zep...cos Beatles fans would chose Floyd over Zep....and most people say Beatles without prior thought.

the poll was tied at 35-35 all...last time I looked


fact - neutral rock fans consider Floyd the greatest or amongst the immediate elite....we've just got to go that yard further....
