Listened to DSOM in car to day on way home from work and just wondered is Clair Torry's vocal solo on Great gig the greatest vocal performance of all time???

and how did she pull it of in that one attempt...??????

I also read somewhere that she didn't do it in one attempt and in fact it is a mix of about three different takes. That could be bull, though.

They are ONE of the best
To me, it's always been Floyd, Zeppelin and Sabbath. All completely different and all untouchable at what they do.

For modern bands, true art is almost exclusively the domain of Tool...

I love Floyd, but I will always maintain that The Beatles are the greatest ever, just for what they did from 65-70.
