1. Axis: Bold as Love
2. Electric Ladyland

I don´t like Are You Experienced a lot.

No worries, it's fine.

Glad to hear that you've discoverd Jimi. He was amazing. As Zep stated Axis:BaL and Electricladyland are great.. there was a recent posthumous release called Jimi Hendrix : Blues , that is just killer.. His career was short so there are not a lot of titles to choose from but the work he did in four or so years was just astounding. Just dig in and enjoy..

It's sad he didn't last very long... Considering that he played his guitar upside down and backwards, I really wish I could hear what he'd do with some modern electronics.

But, that's life.

I dont like jimi that much. I only like a few of his songs, and i often think they are poorly recorded.

I'd say go for some of his live videos too. If you're a guitar player you can sit and marvel at how he does it, if you're not a guitar player you can just see some great live shows....and marvel at how he does it...

(incidently you can see some great live shows as a guitar player too....)

(hmm)

good luck

Get everything. Every album has a few jems on it. All of his stuff is worth listening to. If I had to pick two albums though, I'd go with the "Band of Gypsies" and "Electric Ladyland".

I'm not much of a fan of his studio stuff...however I love watching him play live (I'm thinking Woodstock '69 at the moment). He was on fire on the stage, and I don't mind him then.

So perhaps the Hendrix Woodstock album wouldn't be a bad idea...

I know I only have one of his--it's the Best Of The Jimi Hendrix Experience (I think it's called that...) and has about 20 songs on it.

Are You Experienced is like a best of album.

I find Hendrix' other work to be a tad bitty.
