acoustic Shine On

Hi I'm wondering if anybody could give me any kind of a line on the acoustic version of Shine On from the Meltdown DVD. My cousin and I are working on arrangements for the open acoustic nights at our local bar, and I would love to go in there with it under my fingers. I mean anything would help- the scales the intro was written out of, chords, etc. Thanks

Well you should be able to get the chords from a good tab site, or indeed this site...

for the soloing you'll be working on a vaguely minor pentatonic scale. For the electric version this was in G but you'll have to move it down to Dish... listen to it a lot to get it right...

for the famous 4 note bit, follow the original with no bakcing. then when the drums and stuff usually come in replace the open E with a C power chord. Again study the video...

the rest you can probably work out, try watching the video and finding the tabs.


coming to think about it, I think someone posted the actual acoustic tabs here earlier...

oh well, just don't forget to sing the chorus differently...
